AMOC Parking Lott Series: Tether

social3.jpg

September 24-26 & October 1-3

Lot opens at 6:30pm | Performance at 7pm

Tether, a live dance performance created by Avery-Jai Andrews and Lauren Kravitz of Agora Artists, is the first event as part of Arts Mission Oak Cliff’s Parking Lott Series.

In a time when there is a heightened awareness of and challenge against systemic racism and physical contact is severely restricted, five local dance artists explore themes of relationship, assistance, and allyship as they navigate a large wooden structure and rope. How does one’s individual history influence her role in this movement? Performers will wear protective gear in accordance with current CDC guidelines, and music will be transmitted through the radio so audience members can enjoy the entire event from the comfort of their cars. Tether offers a safe gathering space to witness live art and an opportunity for paid work for a small group of local artists. The event will run Thursday through Saturday for two weekends.

Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Pricing per car: 1 passenger $15 | 3 or more passengers $30
