AMOC is proud to offer two Artist-in-Residence (AiR) programs in 2025: Sanctuary & Underground.
The AiR Program
The Artist-in-Residence program awards six (6) local, independent artists or arts groups/organizations a four (4) month residency each year in our beautifully restored, historic church-turned-arts space. AMOC is committed to the development, care, and support of emerging local artists. The residency program provides local artists with the time and space to create new work directly in Oak Cliff, TX.
During their four-month residency, each artist or arts group/organization is given access to the creative spaces and resources that AMOC offers to support the creation and presentation of new work.
Each residency culminates in a Final Offering (performance, exhibition, etc.) that will be presented to the public during the final month of the residency. Residents are also asked to engage with the community through a workshop, master class, screening, talkback, or similar activity. These hands-on experiences are unique to each artist’s process and contribute in varying ways to their Final Offering.
This program is supported, in part, by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and Comerica Charitable Giving.
